Caughdenoy Lock is located across the Oneida River from the small hamlet of Caughdenoy, which seems to be just a few buildings at the intersection of Routes 12, 33, and 37. To be truthful, there wasn't a whole lot there to see, but the place seems popular enough with local fishermen.
