Elmira College is not exactly well known, at least, we were not familiar with it. After strolling around the campus, we couldn't help but be impressed with the beautifully green, perfectly manicured lawns; the pretty central pond complete with a fountain; the many stately, matching brick buildings; and the life-size statues of Mark Twain and his wife Olivia (she attended when it was a woman's school). We highly suspect that the school's colors are purple and gold, considering anything that could be purple and gold, was, from the street signs to the door glass to the lawn barriers.
