Camden, New York is a smaller town northeast of
Oneida Lake, in a sparsely populated region of Central New York. At one time, there must have been some money in Camden, judging from the number of large, older homes and churches there. What keeps it going now wasn't obvious to us, just that its glory days seem to be behind it. You could say about Camden what's true about a hundred little New York towns: The good news is that it's small and quiet, and the bad news is that it's small and quiet.
